How to Request a Home Visit
All requests should be made before 10.30am. This service is mainly for patients who are housebound especially the elderly. These are also only for medical conditions that render the patient genuinely unable to come to the surgery, and are only authorised by one of the doctors. Please do not therefore request that a home visit be done for "convenience" reasons e.g. lack of personal transport, as a refusal may offend, but is both medically and legally justifiable and acceptable.
Please note that it is not possible to specify which clinician will attend an emergency home visit as these are delegated to the clinician on-call at the time.
