BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Changes to the type of online consultations that can be requested via the Klink platform will take affect on Monday 9th January 2023

Provision of a safe high-quality service to all our patients remains a key priority for the Penrhyn Surgery Team and we constantly review and revise our services to ensure this aim is achieved.

In view of this and in response to feedback from our patients and in consultation with our PPG we continue to review the way patient’s access the surgery via our online consultation platform - Klinik.

In August 2022, we notified you, our patients of the need to vary our opening hours (access to the online consultation platform) based on demand from patients and capacity of the surgery to meet this demand. This continues to remain the case, but during Surgery opening hours, if Klinik is not available, patients can still come in or telephone the surgery.

However, please note with effect from the 9th of January 2023, we have made some changes to the type of online consultations that can be requested via the Klink platform

Henceforth, only the following category of online consultation requests can be made via Klink

  1. Administrative enquiries such as for sick notes, Insurance forms, Taxi Medicals etc.
  2. Appointments/enquiries about results of investigations e.g., Blood tests, X-ray, and Scan reports.
  3. Book appointments with the nurse e.g. For cervical smears, immunisation, travels vaccines and advice etc.
  4. Prescription requests
  5. Book review appointment/ Medication reviews e.g., for contraception, HRT and for patients with long term health conditions such as Depression, Diabetes, Hypertension, Thyroid problems, Asthma and COPD
  6. Non urgent clinical conditions/ Minor illnesses/or issues that do not need to be responded to within 5 working days.

For requests that do not meet the above guidelines, we will contact you to ask that you either telephone or come into the surgery.

Please note for conditions that may require same day or urgent treatment and for those patients who cannot utilise the online consultation tool, you should contact the surgery via telephone or walking into the surgery.
